Children

What if I want to bring my children?

Denver is an amazing city with lots to do. You may wish to travel with your children especially over the Labor Day holiday. However, the conference is mostly designed with parents in mind and only minimal childcare will be provided.

Saturday morning will start with an “all family” worship time and everyone is encouraged to participate!  After that, we will have a vacation bible school style program for 1st graders-5/6th graders.  Then again on Sunday morning, traditional kingdom kid’s classes will be held during the worship portion of the conference.

There will be an optional off-site field-trip available for Middle School and High School students Saturday for an additional fee at registration.  (Our Middle School Ministry begins in the 7th grade, however we recognize that others start in the 6th grade.  Knowing that field trips require a certain amount of maturity and independence, parents have the option to choose whatever is best for their family needs, i.e. your 6th grader has older siblings in middle school or high school and it would make sense to go with the older sibling; while others may wish to have their 6th grader stay with their younger siblings in the kids kingdom classes.)

For those of you extending your stay in Denver, there is a special website to provide attendees with a plethora of information about Denver and the surrounding area. Attendees are able to link to the City of Denver’s Events calendar called “Denver 365” to find out what’s hot in Denver during the conference. Watch a “Let’s Go” video to get a sense of what there is to see and do in Denver, print off discount coupons from restaurants, attractions and tours (e.g. white water rafting) and much more. How much is the child registration?

The registration fee is $10 per child.  This will include a conference t-shirt, snack and activity supplies for Saturday and Sunday morning children’s classes.

What will the child care be like during Saturday Morning?

On Saturday morning from 10 am to 12:30 pm we will offer child care for kids in the 1st through 5/6th grade.  Our format will run similar to a day at vacation bible school where there are small mixed age groups, fun rotating stations and of course a yummy snack.  We will keep siblings together in small groups in order to make them feel more comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings.  Students should wear their conference t-shirts that they will receive at registration.

What are the details for the Saturday full-day field trip for middle school and high school students?

The cost of this outing is $50 per person.  We will be taking a group of middle school and high school students for a full day field trip to Six Flags Elitches Gardens Amusement Park. Transportation and park admission will be provided.  Please send your student with their own money for lunch/snacks.  Students should wear their conference t-shirts that they will receive at registration.

**Participant wavier must be checked when registering.**

Check back here for more details as they become available.

Will there be child care for babies through kindergarten kids?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide child care for small children or babies.  You are welcome to bring your family along but you will be responsible for arranging care for them.  One possibility would be to team up with another family and swap childcare times.

We will however have traditional kingdom kid classes for these age groups on Sunday morning during the worship time.
