Where will the North American All Generations Family Conference be held?

The Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, 650 15th Street, Denver, Colorado 80202 USA.

What is the Registration Fee?

The regular registration cost is $110 per person if registered by 11:59 pm MST, on August 6th.  Child registration $10, includes t-shirt, snack and activities on Saturday morning.

The late registration cost is $130 per person if registered by 11:59 pm MST, on August 27th. No deposit option.  Child registration $10, includes t-shirt, snack and activities on Saturday morning.

Is the conference registration fee refundable?

Yes, on a case-by-case basis and per the described schedule listed. Issues of unexpected health, family or travel emergencies are what the refund option is intended for.

How much is the hotel?

You are responsible to make your own reservation. Lodging is not included in the price of the conference registration. Please visit https://resweb.passkey.com/go/ICOCFamilyConference for the Hyatt Regency Denver website to make your reservation and/or additional information. You can also call 1-888-421-1442. (Tell them you are with the All Generations Family Conference). The last day to register for a hotel room at the contracted price is August 10th, 2017.

The Guest room rates are quoted exclusive of the applicable taxes (which are currently 14.75%), applicable service fees, and/or parking fees.

Do I register for housing directly with the hotel?

What is the weather like in Colorado in September?

Although September is one of the most comfortable months in the year, weather in Colorado is somewhat unpredictable. It could be sunny in the morning and/or rainy and cool by the afternoon. The average temperature in September ranges from 65F – 75F (17C – 22C) during the day and we anticipate the weather will not be an issue. In fact, it may be hot! You will be wise however, to be prepared with layers of clothing. It can be considerably cooler in the mountains. Check weather forecasts ahead of time.

Should I be concerned about the higher altitude?

The key is to simply remember that you are at a higher altitude. Drink plenty of water, use sunscreen and lip balm. Do not drink alcohol or engage in extreme exercise for the first 24 hours. Rest as needed! Be aware of your body especially while in the mountains. Most altitude issues resolve within 24 hours.

When should I arrive?

If you are a general conference attendee please plan to arrive by 9:30 am on Friday September 1st.

If you are a part of the national leadership for youth and family or you are an invited guest, please plan to arrive on Thursday August 31st by noon for pre-conference meetings. If you are flying in, give yourself at least 2 hours from landing at the airport to arriving at the conference.

Who is invited to attend the North American All Generations Family Conference?

All youth and family ministry leaders, workers, children’s ministry coordinators, teachers, elders, evangelists, and more than anyone… ALL PARENTS. We will be offering parenting tips for every age group. We will also offer classes for those parents who have children who are exceptional or special needs, and those who are adoptive and blended families. Basically anyone and everyone interested and involved in Family Ministry!

How many people are expected to attend the conference?

We are planning for 1000 disciples from around the United States to come, but we are praying for many more to make the trip!

Are there restaurants near the conference?

Participants are responsible for their own meals during the conference. The Hyatt Regency Hotel is one block from the 16th Street Mall, a mile long pedestrian mall which host dozens and dozens of restaurants, with everything from casual and inexpensive to upscale. The Colorado Convention Center is located just two blocks off of the same mall. In addition, within the blocks surrounding the mall, you’ll find an even large variety of restaurants, entertainment and shopping options!

What if I would like to hold a meeting or host a reception in the hotel and would like to reserve a room?

If you would like to plan a reception or meeting, you will need to first contact our planning committee to help coordinate the time, date, and room for your reception or meeting. These requests can be sent to 2017FamilyConferenceInfo@gmail.com. If you are planning to have food or beverages during your event, you will also need to contact the hotel directly to make arrangements and payment for these services.

What if I would like to host a booth in the EXPO area?

Is there Internet available?

Participants staying in rooms at the Hyatt have Internet services included in the price of their room. An Internet hot spot is also located in the Hyatt lobby.

Where can I find out more about Denver?

Please visit www.denver.org. This site, created by the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau, is a wealth of information about Denver and the surrounding area.

What else is there to do in Colorado?

Denver and the Rocky Mountains have so many opportunities for recreation and fun. Below are a few websites to give you ideas for planning additional activities during your stay in Colorado before or after the conference.

What is the recommended dress code?

Casual or Nice Casual clothing is recommended. There is no need to dress up.
